Ultraframe's Classic roof system is engineered from first principles, using a combination of state-of-the-art software and design creativity from our highly qualified research and development teams, to create something special.
Every phase of the Classic system development is exhaustively tested by Ultraframe, before being passed to the British Board of Agrement (BBA), for their independent accreditation. Ultraframe were the first roof manufacturer to present a conservatory roof to the BBA and subsequently gain approval. The Ultraframe roof, acknowledged by the industry as being the finest, is now available locally from us, your BBA Registered Fabricator.

The BBA is a Government backed organisation which tests and assesses innovative building products and issues Agrement Certificates to those meeting its high standards.

To meet the standards set by the BBA, we have had to demonstrate that:

AUDITED STANDARDS


Jumping through the assessment hoop will not simply be a one-off. Each registered fabricator will be audited twice per hear by BBA inspectors, to ascertain that ongoing performance is maintained. Your assurance of continuing quality.

COMPLETE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY

The Ultraframe roof offers complete structural integrity at value for money prices.

Each roof that we build is carefully specified from a portfolio of 3,500 Ultraframe components, ensuring maximum structural performance.

The roof system comprises structural aluminium profiles which have bolted joints rather than poorer quality screws which are often employed. Each structural aluminium profile is then capped and clad with PVCu; these items are known as thermal claddings and they minimise the formation of condensation.

Rest assured in the knowledge that roofs are designed in accordance with all relevant British Standards and Codes of Practice

EXCEEDS ALL CLIMATIC TESTS

Typically the roof is designed in line with British Standards to support an imposed load of 75 kilogrammes per m2 - equivalent to 600mm or 24" of snow in one fall or the equivalent of one and a half bags of cement per m2. On a typical conservatory that is three quarters of a tonne of cement. In remote areas of the Highlands and Islands, even greater loads are designed for.

The BBA states that each roof will have a "life expectancy of at least 25 years".

Over the period of 25 years, the roof will have 50 foot of water deluged upon it, 450 days of snow falling, 9125 days with temperatures in the range of -15ūC to +35ūC. So you can see why our roofs are so tough, and why we only use 100% Ultraframe components.

ALL THE LATEST INNOVATIONS

Our roofs include all the latest innovations from Ultraframe - the multi series glazing bar and the MKIV Ridge to name but two. Rest assured that as Ultraframe launch new products, we will be the first to build them into our roofs.



Built in Ventilation - Ultraframe were pioneers in the introduction of standard ventilation. The patented ridge ventilation is controllable by a slider control. Further trickle ventilation can be incorporated at the eaves postion, with the ventilated glazing support trim.

And not forgetting the option of slimline roof vents, either manually or remotely controlled.

TRAINING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT



Purchasing your conservatory roofs from us will ensure you have access, as a first point of call, to our technical resources but, thereafter, Ultraframe will be on hand to solve technical problems. Roofs can be glazed with a comprehensive range of heat insulating polycarbonate or toughened glass to suit individual customer's requirements.

CONSERVAGLASS - When designing your conservatory, the choice of glass or polycarbonate roof is an important one. To enable you to use your conservatory all year round, you need a glazing material that deflects heat from the sun in the summer and retains the warmth from heating appliances in the winer.
